Understanding the Bible in Context

In order to read and understand what the Bible is telling us today we have to follow a series of steps. First, we must believe the Bible is true in it's entirety and is God-inspired. Secondly, we need to understand that Scripture can never mean what it didn't mean to those it was originally written to. So we must decode this original meaning before we can truly understand it and apply it to our lives. It is by the power of the Holy Spirit that we are able to after following these steps come to this understanding. It is our daily and lifelong pursuit to uncover the riches that are available to us in the written word of God, our Holy Bible.
