Walking in Christ's Authority

In Matthew 8, Jesus heals a man's servant because of his great faith. Jesus was operating under the authority given to him by the Father. Because we have Christ living in us through the Holy Spirit, we have access to this authority to heal the sick, cast out demons, raise the dead, and preach the good news of the Kingdom of God.

In order to do this, we must learn how to abide in Christ. Drawing near to God allows us to understand our ultimate purpose (abiding in Jesus and the presence of God wherever we go), and step into the unique call on our lives for the Kingdom. We need the Lord's strength and power to walk out our calling, which draws us even closer to the Lord. Seek the Lord in prayer today, and ask him to show you his ways for your life.
